Dear TAGP Supporters,
COVID-19 Pandemic is not just a threat to our health, but for many people in the service industry, it also means they may not be able to afford rent, groceries or medical bills should they need to see a doctor due to people self-quarantining, events getting cancelled, and bars closing. According to a recent Pew research report, 33% has lost their job or suffered a pay cut or reduction in work hours because of the corona-virus. Therefore, TAGP is launching a new fundraiser to help Turkish Americans in the Bay Area* whose livelihoods are affected during these hard times. We’ve already shown how we can show solidarity in the face of adversity by quickly adapting to the news about the Corona-virus. We are doing our best by social distancing and have either moved or cancelled events, vacations, etc. However, during tough times like this, we need to think of more ways to help our community and TAGP can’t do this alone without the help of generous people like you.
